Job Description The Role • Project manage Finance projects. • Prepare information for firm management, both periodically and upon request • Understand the business, key risks, regulations and technology impacting the business •Co-ordinate regulatory initiatives and special projects, driving on-time delivery which may include monitoring of delivery by other functions toward project goals • Engage the business in communications to challenge, educate and guide on compliance, conduct and operational risks, including supporting the business in maintaining high standards of culture and behavior • Work closely with colleagues across Business and IT – Finance, Credit, HR, Regulatory change, Risk, Business Architecture, Testing , Security, Infastructure and Training • A very good understanding of the workings of a Bank and how data is segregated using Chinese walls and the role of the Finance and Risk function • Ability to take charge of a project and have a clear vision the deliverables • Good working knowledge of MS Office MS Project •Familiarity with working on complex projects with multiple systems and stakeholders • Prepare weekly project progress reports, working group status updates and monthly steering committees • Experience in implementing automated solutions around regulatory compliance • Budgeting experience • Skills Required • BS/BA/MBA degree • PMI – PMP /Scrum Master or any industry relevant Project management certification • Minimum 10 years + experience of Project Management within a Banking/Finance environment •Accomplished Project Manager/Lead Business Analyst with 15 years of experience in leading End to End banking technology Transformation& Automation of Finance Projects & Processes • A sound knowledge of the broad range of banking business activities – Corporate, Personal and Wealth • Strong organizational skills with the ability to contemporaneously manage multiple complex projects • Excellent communication skills –reporting and verbal • Problem Solving Mindset • Ability to lead the project and manage all stakeholder expectations at all times • Fully conversant with written and spoken English • You Are • An accomplished Project Manager who has worked on complex projects with very senior stakeholders • Able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge in the areas of Finance MIS,OFSAA/FIS FTP,Business Objects, Recon & Returns, VAT application and filing, CASA, Deposits, GL, Audit, Risk Management, Corporate& Retail Lending. • Have implementation experience around Core Banking, Managing Accounting activities, Chart of Accounts (COA), defining accounting entries for Core Banking (Conventional& Islamic), Lending, Cards,FinTreasury & Trade Finance •Financial Risk Manager FRM (level 1) working for Finance Projects,GL Control and VAT returns will be an advantage • A strong team player who can collaborate and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to drive change • Able to provide clear, timely and appropriate guidance and independent challenge and know when to escalate • Able to make decisions, resolve conflicts and exercise sound judgment under pressure • Able to operate at both a detailed and strategic level, possessing attention to detail and organization skills, as well as excellent presentation and communication skills •Advanced technical skills in MS Project, Excel,Powerpoint
