Job Description Skill / Role: SQL L2 Relevant Experience: 5-10yrs in SQL Qualification: Bachelors / Masters / Equivalent Key Skills Required: • Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) • Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio) • Installation and Configuration of SQL Server Pre-requisites. • SQL Server Database Basic Administration and Latest Features. SQL Server user account management • Test and Apply Patches and Service Packs • Database Resource Management and Task Scheduling. Capacity Planning in terms of Growth of Database. • Experience in basic Performance Tuning and Monitoring. • Handling of daily issues (Blockings, Long running transaction, Deadlocks etc.) • Automating SQL Server tasks (SQL Jobs, Windows scripts, etc.) • Troubleshoot issues related to Temp Db, Transaction Log and System Databases • Instance/Database monitoring/C39configuring DB Mail/SQL Mail and Alerts & Operators • Basic Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS. Scheduling Database Backups, taking full and Transaction Log Backups. • Implementing SQL Server Database Security Policy, Auditing • MCTS / MCTIP certifications are required
