Senior Corrosion Engineer Nuclear Facility

Job Description • Walk the plant down to verify corrosion-related ARs and assess the reported conditions as they relate to the severity and urgency of rehabilitation • Raise ARs related to corrosion degradation observed • Run periodic corrosion management working group meetings • Raise Purchase Requests for laboratories to perform forensic analyses of degraded/damaged equipment/components • Review laboratory forensic reports • Write technical reports based on forensic reports for distribution to other enterprise departments • Develop the engineering, operational, inspection, and maintenance actions that control, within acceptable design limits, the effects of physical degradation of components occurring over time or with use to optimize the length of service of the subject equipment. Critical Skills and attributes: • Corrosion related degree, Materials/Metallurgical or chemicals engineering • Minimum 8 years Corrosion/Materials degradation experience with minimum of 1 year gained in a nuclear plant however, would consider if experience has been gained only in Oil and Gas
