Quality Supervisor

Job Description • Responsible to provide the Laboratory Analyst with samples and finished product for analysis and testing in the Laboratory • Ensure the trace ability of raw materials • Ensure proper and correct tagging/labeling of finished products • Ensure that all the instruments used for inspection in the line requiring scheduled calibration are properly calibrated • Study and meet customer’s expectation • Ensure effective time management • Ensure that all records of inspections are properly kept and maintained • Prepare and outline the Inspection activities and coordinate all these to relevant Sections of the Plant • Monitor the storage condition of raw materials and finished product • Participate in laboratory and line experiments and studies aimed at solving quality related problems for continuous improvement • Comply with the Quality plan • Comply and maintain proper guidelines as to safety, safekeeping and cleanliness to subordinates • Participate in the development or over-all department plans and programs • Responsible in the continual improvement of Plant and the Quality Management System • Keep and maintain healthy environment • Perform other duties assigned by immediate superior when deemed necessary • Comply and adhere with the company rules and Quality Policy • Trains and communicates pertinent SOPs to the employees of their respective areas • Ensure employees in their respective areas have the training and tools to meet the requirements of the procedures • Represents each operational area during the QMS Team Meetings • Identifies Mill Environmental Aspects, Significant Aspects, Objectives and Targets and participate in Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment • Facilitates the initial drafts of Mill procedures, SOPs, Work Instruction and other elements of Integrated Management System Requirements • Minimum 2 years in managing pipe mill from ½” up to 12” • SAP Knowledge • Must have a degree in Chemical Technology or equivalent • Must have an understanding on Laboratory analysis and operations • Thorough understanding of the International Standards pertaining to Quality and Environment • Must have worked in a Manufacturing / Industrial Plant • Proficient in English language, both oral and written
