Plant Manager

Job Description We are looking for a Plant Manager to manage our ERW Pipe operations. Our size range is from ” – 12″. The resource will be responsible for achieving goals and targets, ensuring quality compliance, undertake a variety of tasks relating to to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes to meet production targets. The role also involves planning and ensuring compliance of quality system. Responsibilities: • Responsible for day to day activities and management of the ERW pipe operations including manufacturing, scheduling, safety and facilities management.• Plan, manage, monitor and control overall plant operations to meet the company’s financial objectives including, but not limited to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, safety, productivity, quality, and other cost savings initiatives.• Responsible for mill setting, maintenance parameter, productivity improvement, yield improvement, technical up gradation quality and manpower.• Responds to operation reports and resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance problem to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delay.• Supervise the production team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes.• Implement actions for any breakdown maintenance as well as preventive maintenance of machine and equipment.• Assist in developing and sustaining operations business plan to include all requirement, labor hours, cycle and production costs.• Responsible for smooth material flow for timely availability of material or semi finished good for next state of process, manpower management, zone wise activity allocation. • Ensure company policies & procedures are followed.• To follow all system /procedure (process mapping, guidelines) in area of operation and assist in ensuring maintenance through planned audits.• Oversee all production operations and coordinate with all department managers to ensure that the production plan of ERW Pipes is achieved as per schedule assigned by senior management.• Organize workflow according to work load to complete assigned jobs.• Maintain production records.• Monitoring the quality of raw material and finished products and supervising the quality department to ensure the same.• Monitor quality and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met through production of high quality material.• Assures all staff has the resources and information to perform their function.• Ensure inventories are conducted and accurate records are maintained.• Manpower planning and optimization to meet production targets.• Ensure the maintaining of proper records for production, quality, maintenance, warehouse and logistics activities.• Proactively identifying the areas of breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipment’s using troubleshooting tools.• Initiate manpower hiring when needed to cope with expanding workload or for replacement of substandard employees.• Oversee all staff scheduling and overtime, conduct training or authorize training of employees.• Initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy when needed. • Ensure safer working environment.• Liaison with certification bodies such as UL, DNV GL, NSF, BM TRADA (ISO 9001:2008) etc. for coordination of certification matters.• Other duties as assignment by management Job Type: Full-time Experience:• Plant Management: 7 years (Required)• ERW Pipe: 10 years (Required)• SAP: 10 years (Required) Education:• Bachelor’s (Required) Language:• English (Required More Information Experience Level Manager Total Years Experience 7 Minimum Education Post Master Certification Gender Any Gender
