ILS Technician & Electrician

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs full range of field level repair, maintenance and overhaul on the vehicles

Major Job Activities

 Tests the vehicles and checks if systems are working properly,

 Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions,

 Follows repair procedures and technical manuals.

 Performs corrective maintenances on the engines, transmissions, air conditioning systems, fuel system components, suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, etc. on the vehicles.

 Disassemble units and inspect parts

 Tests and adjusts repaired systems to meet performance specifications.

 Performs routine, preventive and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.

 Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Environment

 Work is generally conducted in a workshop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

Physical Activities

 Work will require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas.

Minimum Qualifications

 Experience and training in vehicle/equipment maintenance

 High School graduate or equivalent

 A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a UAE Heavy Driver’s License.

 Handling/Transportation Training desired.

Schedule

Sunday to Thursday (07:00 am-02:00 pm)Contract Length

Experience

 Approximately two (2) years experience as an electrician or mechanic on preferably heavy duty diesel vehicles,

 Experience maintaining tactical wheeled vehicles (it is not a must for mechanics, must for electrician)

Skills

 Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

 Ability to read, analyzes, understand and interprets blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, reports technical publications and documents.

 The ability to troubleshoot, determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Must have enough communications skills, both written and oral, in English.

 Possesses excellent interpersonal skills; must be customer-oriented and diverse.

 Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion

 Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers and non-commissioned officers.
